Global challenges of the modern world cover all aspects of human life, the concern of all countries, peoples and groups of the population, are like the surface of the earth, and to the oceans, atmosphere, space, lead to serious economic and social losses.Therefore, the solution to these problems - a problem all over the world, demanding universal association.
Global problems are divided into several types:
- Environment: includes the ozone hole, the greenhouse effect, recycling of industrial waste, environmental disasters.To solve these problems locally at the level of the state is simply not possible.
- Economic: within it need a solution to problems such as resource depletion, sustainable development, redistribution of wealth.
- Energy: the energy crisis, the problem of the safe operation of nuclear power plants and disposal of waste, alternative energy sources.
- Space: a peaceful space exploration, space pollution.
- political: international understanding and peaceful settlement of the conflict, racial conflicts, the fight against terrorism.
- Armory: the problem of disarmament of individual states, in particular the problem of nuclear and biological weapons.
- Natural: the food problem, the destruction of ecosystems.
- Health: the demographic problem, pandemics (AIDS), cancer.
- Social: spiritual crisis, illiteracy, formation of ecological way of thinking, aimed at harmonization of all spheres of human activities with nature.
global problems of mankind at the national and international levels is currently treated, unfortunately, something very abstract and calling for a decision only in the distant future.With regard to the individual level, with rare exceptions people take a position of neutrality, they say, personally I do not care.All this shows a misunderstanding of the masses of the severity of global problems.
Global Issues Society has several unique features:
- are universal, covering the interests of all the nations (and sometimes all living things), and each person in particular.
- In the absence of their decision sooner or later they will lead to global catastrophe and the destruction of mankind.
- requires joint efforts of the entire humanity.
- requires an integrated, synergistic approach.
In fact, the global problems of humanity and the imbalance reflects the unevenness of its development.Developing the industry, people have lost touch with nature, resulting in aggravated environmental problems.The trend towards the creation of an information society and the domination of capitalism has led to a spiritual crisis.Prevalence of individualism and infantile egoism brought to the forefront of political and social issues weapon.So implemented causal relationship between seemingly crises in completely different areas.However, the solution of one problem will not cause the law positive correlation to other solutions: it requires a single comprehensive approach based on the reconstruction of the global human consciousness in favor of the collective mode of existence, effective interaction and harmonious development in connection with the nature and the next and previous generations.
