The social community: its definition, structure, importance

Company is a holistic socio-cultural system, consisting of a large number of subsystems.One is the social community.Any community involves gathering of people who have something the same (for example, interests, objectives or goals).People coming together in any community, usually have similar ideas about life, play in society similar social roles.

So, we can say that social community - a collection of human individuals, united by similar conditions of life that have the same interests, values, and are aware of their social identity.The grounds for bringing people can be: their close interaction with each other, the overall activity, awareness of the similarity of interests, its own culture, is formed based on similar ideas about the purpose of this community, moral concepts, etc., the presence of self-government.

Some sociologists believe that social communities and groups in most cases do not arise spontaneously.One concept of their origin suggested by American J. Homans, believes that people interact with each other, trying to achieve certain benefits.The more important benefit of this, the more effort involves a person to get closer to other people, which is also a significant benefit.Simply put, according to the American sociologist, people are grouped together to form a community and the community in order to achieve a certain goal.

A social community may be different from other purpose of his education, and form views.Types of such associations of people distinguished by the following features:

- for lifetime: from a few minutes (the audience of the concert hall, the meeting) to whole centuries (separately taken nation);

- the composition of their constituent people from two people up to several thousand (members of a certain party);

- density connections between key representatives from a tightly knit team (office staff) to very amorphous, hardly interacting entities (football fans).

Sociologists distinguish such a thing as a mass social community, the hallmarks of which are:

- instability of existence;

- heterogeneity of the composition of its constituent people, the impossibility of determining the exact amount;

- operation on the basis of an activity and the impossibility of existence outside of it.

As an example, the mass social community can give the fans a certain pop stars, sports fans of the club, members of various associations.The tribe of indigenous people of New Guinea, a nation taken separately, a race, a crowd of protesters near the administration of the company are also massive social communities.

special place among other associations takes ethnicity - a set of people living longer period of time in a particular area having its own stable crops with self-awareness that is aware of its difference from other similar associations.Ethnic community is formed, as a rule, on the basis of the total area to live, to create all the necessary conditions for people interact with each other.Further, when such a social community as an ethnic group has already been formed, this feature becomes secondary or even loses its significance.People who identify themselves with a certain ethnic group may live in different corners of the Earth and, at the same time, remember and honor the traditions of their ethnic group, established to celebrate their holidays and they adhere to certain rules of conduct.

socialization is impossible without its interaction with other members of the human race.Each of us in varying degrees, does not belong to one, but several social communities.Human society is no longer feel like a man, becomes an outcast.
