Agriculture of Ukraine: current situation and prospects.

Ukraine - historically an agrarian country. This is because the local soil is the best suited for this type of activity: chernozems make up 60% of the total area, which, combined with the favorable climate allows us to achieve high yields of many cultures without the use of fertilizers. This makes Ukraine's agriculture one of the most important sectors of the economy.Almost a third of jobs and a significant part of gross domestic product in the state is provided at the expense of agriculture.

climate and soil of Ukraine are ideal for growing many major sedhozkultur, so preference is given to traditional agriculture. This cereals, and vegetables and fruits. In the production of root crops such as sugar beets and carrots, Ukraine ranks first in Europe. Also, a large part of the country's agricultural products occupy cereals, potatoes and beans.

To date, the Ukrainian agriculture is going through hard times. This is due to the difficult economic situation in the state and in the world. The beginning was the growing number of farms has dropped significantly, and in most regions dominated by subsistence farming, that is, the people in their own areas proizvofdyat only the amount of agricultural products, which is necessary to meet their own needs, and to a small extent - for retail sale.

However, agriculture in Ukraine has all the prerequisites for becoming a highly profitable: in addition to the unique climatic and geographic conditions, which are mentioned above, there is a certain reputation of Ukrainian agricultural products. It is known that most of it is produced without the use of chemical additives and fertilizers, and the world is clearly a tendency consumer preferences just such products.Up to a certain period saw an increase in the export of Ukrainian agricultural products due to its high demand on the world market.Unfortunately, the worsening economic situation in the country and the world has meant that agriculture of Ukraine at the moment is experiencing a significant slowdown. This is in no small measure contribute to the high fuel prices, because of which the wholesale of agricultural production becomes unprofitable, because the wholesale prices set manufacturers of cheaper products from abroad. Also lacking in modern engineering industry, which reduces the production efficiency to a minimum.Inefficient system of credit, tax and benefits also contribute to the fact that more and more farms closed, and new ones are not formed in a hurry.Among the factors that negatively affect the agriculture of Ukraine, also worth noting is not always rational use of agricultural land and lack of effective planning in agriculture.

Thus, in the country a paradoxical situation: the traditionally profitable industry, for which nature creates favorable conditions for today is unprofitable, and it is unlikely the situation will change without adequate intervention by the state. To agriculture of Ukraine once again became profitable, necessary measures such as the improvement of the taxation for farmers, provision of preferential long-term loans for the purchase of fuel, equipment and supplies, the provision of such farmland farms on preferential basis.Unfortunately, this is unlikely to be realized in the near future because of the difficult economic situation in the country, so agriculture in Ukraine and will remain in a difficult situation.
