How to manage your beliefs (NLP)

Anyone who plays games (gambling, social, political, administrative and any other) can be attributed to one of two categories: those who play by the rules (even if they violate them) and those who set the rules. What do you think, who usually wins?

There are rules that are set in certain contexts - it is a contract, regulations, user agreement, etc. What defines the rules by which we operate in the context of all of our lives?Of course, we are.But to be more precise, our beliefs. For example, if a person is convinced that "the best European, Japanese car, because ... (whatever)," then, when buying a car, he is likely to prefer Japanese cars. And just as there are our beliefs when choosing a job, partners, investing money, etc.

But if such beliefs defining thing in my life, let's think for a moment, what it is and where they come from?

belief is linguistic (ie, expressed in the language) generalization of the experience that defines its relationship (that is, what we think is right, necessary, important, useful, and so on) with what we know.

How to get freedom from beliefs, but better - control over them? For this purpose there is a simple two-step strategy.
Step 1 st.Learn to notice what beliefs are behind your actions. For this is a simple test questions: "Why am I doing this?"and "Why am I doing this?".If the answer does not suit you, you do not have to.But before you give up, it is best to ask yourself one more question: "Do I not lose something if I do not do it?"

Step 2 minutes.Learning to notice the beliefs begin to manage them - that is unnecessary to change and create desired.

1. The belief sets the context or the scope of any action.
If a person into something believes (or knows), in each of his actions, he will unconsciously tend to confirm this.

If you are convinced that "quality things always are expensive", but for you it is important to the quality, you'll always buy expensive things at expensive stores, even if it costs a pretty penny. But if you will have the belief that "quality can be affordable", then over time you have deposited in the head information about when there are no sales in the retail prices below. However, if you will thus assume that "respecting people in sales do not dress", this information does not help you.

2. There is no right of opinion.Any belief can be true and not true at the same time. The world is multifaceted and real-world experience has a lot more relationships than can be described linguistically. Therefore, any conviction depends on the context and other conditions.

3. Each belief exists in the context of other beliefs.

controlling the context in which there is a conviction, you control the value of this belief. For example:

- "Lying is bad."- But if you are a prisoner of the enemy, there are many people for whom it will be good.

- "Telling the truth to friends - good."- But if this truth is obvious, it is not pleasant, and they have requested to do so, it is not so good, and snakes.
